Dr. James Ong has 4 decades of industry, venture and academic experience. He founded Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity and is co-author of “AI for Humanity”where he actively advocates the AI for Humanity movement globally including Davos in Europe, United Nations, ASEAN, China, India, US and Middle East.

He is an Adjunct Professor at SUTD and AI Mega Centre and lectures at various universities including NUS, NTU, SUTD, SUSS, SMU and UTAR, Member of SRAC at the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC), Head of AI, Industry Fellow and Professional Council Member at Global Fintech Institute (GFI) and Founding Member of the United Nations Singapore Internet Governance Forum (SG IGF). He is also CEO of Origami Frontiers and Venture Partner at Delight Capital. He received his PhD from the University of Texas at Austin specializing in AI for Governance and Business Process Automation.

James Ong 博士拥有四十年的产业、创投及学术经验。他创立了 国际人工智能研究院（Artificial Intelligence International Institute, AIII），这是一个倡导“可持续人工智能造福人类”的智库。他亦是《AI for Humanity》一书的合著者，积极在全球推动“AI 造福人类”的理念，包括在 欧洲达沃斯、联合国、东盟、中国、印度、美国以及中东地区 等国际场合进行倡议。

他是新加坡科技设计大学（SUTD）与 AI Mega Centre 的兼任教授，并在多所大学授课，包括新加坡国立大学（NUS）、南洋理工大学（NTU）、新加坡科技设计大学（SUTD）、新跃社科大学（SUSS）、新加坡管理大学（SMU）以及拉曼大学（UTAR）。
他同时也是 新加坡国家超级计算中心（NSCC）战略研究顾问委员会（SRAC）成员，以及 全球金融科技学院（GFI）人工智能负责人、产业导师及专业委员会成员，并且是 联合国新加坡互联网治理论坛（SG IGF）创始成员。
此外，他担任 Origami Frontiers 的首席执行官，并是 Delight Capital 的创业合伙人。
他在美国得克萨斯大学奥斯汀分校取得博士学位，研究领域为 人工智能在治理与业务流程自动化方面的应用。
