ABOUT THE CHALLENGE

What is the AI Storybook Challenge?

The AI Storybook Challenge is a creative competition where students use AI tools to create an original short storybook.

Participants can generate text and visuals using AI, then organize and refine them into a complete story with a clear message and creative direction.

This challenge focuses on:

  • Creativity and imagination
  • Storytelling skills
  • Communication and idea development
  • Responsible and meaningful use of AI

Selected finalists will advance to a Live Final Round presentation and Q&A session.

HOW IT WORKS

Create your AI-powered storybook in four simple steps.

Create Your Story

Use AI tools to generate story ideas, text, and visuals for your storybook.

Build Your Storybook

Organize your content into a complete 5–10 page story with a clear beginning, middle, and ending.

Submit Your PDF

Export your storybook as a PDF file and submit it before the deadline.

Present Live

Selected finalists will present their AI-created storybook during the live final round.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Participants must submit:

  • 1 PDF file only
  • 5–10 pages
  • Title page
  • Story pages with both text and visuals

Your storybook must:

  • Be clear and easy to understand
  • Have a complete storyline
  • Include both text and visuals
  • Present a meaningful idea related to "AI for Humanity"

Examples include:

  • AI helping people
  • AI solving problems
  • Responsible use of AI

Please use the following format:

Submissions may be rejected if:

  • The file cannot be opened
  • The story is incomplete
  • There is no clear storyline
  • The content is inappropriate
  • The submission exceeds 10 pages

USE OF AI

AI Tools Are Allowed

Participants may freely use AI tools for:

  • ✓ Story writing
  • ✓ Image generation
  • ✓ Layout and design support

This challenge focuses on how students shape ideas, organize content, and communicate meaningful stories using AI.

Judging will focus on the final storybook quality, not the AI tools used.

LIVE ONLINE PRESENTATION

Selected finalists will advance to the Final Round.

Finalists will:
  • Present their storybook live
  • Retell their story clearly and creatively
  • Demonstrate understanding of their story message
  • Answer questions from judges
Presentation Format
  • Storytelling Presentation: 3–5 minutes
  • Short Q&A Session
Participants may:
  • Show slides or pages from their storybook
  • Narrate naturally and creatively
Participants are NOT required to:
  • Memorize every word
  • Wear costumes
  • Perform theatrical acting
